We had a nice Easter and Conference weekend. This year the bunny got creative and hid empty baskets upstairs then after the kids found their baskets, they got to go find everthing to fill up their baskets scattered throughout the rest of the house. The bunny did good with very little candy. They got bandaids, gatorade, cereal, granola bars, peeps, and a couple other small things. Then they kept asking all day when the Easter egg hunt was going to be. Oops. Way to go bunny. Think you are doing something easy and creative but tradition can't be missed. So Father bunny put together an evening easter egg hunt.
We enjoyed being home for the day. We read a story on Easter and loved watching conference. We also went and visited grandbunny who had a treasure hunt for the kids and we had a wonderful lunch together.
How wonderful to hear from our leaders. The kids did a great job listening all day Saturday while they played conference bingo. And Sunday went pretty well too. We all stayed together in the family room and tried our hardest to listen.
What a great weekend to remember our Savior and know that after our earthly death, we will continue to live. I know this with all my heart and am so grateful that there is a purpose to all of this "living". It was also wonderful to hear so much focus on families. Because that is what it is all about. Thank heavens!

We started the morning at a local park for an easter egg hunt. We weren't there for more than 10 minutes. That included time to 'find' eggs, open eggs, and claim prizes that three of the kids won. It was cute and quick and fun. I love how bright Emily is.

Then we came home and everyone played conference bingo for a full two hours. It was awesome and they did great. Between sessions we cleaned the garage and went to the store. Then we colored eggs while we listened to and watched the second session of conference.

Finished!

It has been a fun day. Even though there has been way too much fighting. Man, anyone have any ideas on how to get that under control? We keep failing.
Little John is excited to get to go to his first Priesthood session tonight. And Dairy Queen. Big John has been waiting for this day for a long time.
