Leslie's 2nd annual cousin sleepover

So glad these girls all have each other.

And a great aunt who wants to help them bind forever friendships.  LOVE.
THe sleepover is for the girl cousins 10 and older.  They are all there except one who is married.  Hopefully she can join next time.

Thoughts, etc.

This post is random things I take pictures of or save on my phone because I want to remember them for one reason or another.

This was one of the pics in an email sent from Kate. I thought of my mom and snapped a pic of it.
My sweet friend Meilani posted this on Instagram asking if anyone knew the name or artist. I just glanced at first then looked deeper and it pierced me a bit so I saved a pic of it.  Love the symbolism.
Ain't that the truth?!!  I LOVE my cousins and am grateful for all 46 of my kids cousins. We are all lucky to have each other.
I giggle every time I look at this!!  Truth.  Sigh.
One of the many many recipes I get from online or from friends. This was yummy.
Jack and I are learning to manage our anger. It's a slow process.
"And that which doth not edify is not of God, and is darkness". This flew off the page and hit me hard when I was reading. We've used it many times since in our home. Mainly......video games.  Among many other things. It's good to always be doing something edifying.
Ohhhhh.  So true. And so grateful for good people who "get" me.

Sent from Richard.  Should be taken to heart world wide. Things like this is how to create world peace.
Can't remember why I looked this up. Something for ruby. Tummy or teeth maybe?

Just another one of those cheesy quotes things but I sent it to my two oldest so they can try to understand me as their mother a little better.  I love texting and calling my kids.

Screenshot of a recipe. I have lots of these.

This kid

Just asked me to put on my blog how incredibly athletic he is.

There you go john. And it's the truth.
Incredibly amazing too.
I LOVE YOU JOHN JOHN.

First Voice Recital

John and Emily started voice lessons. Thomas fills in when one of them can't make it. Turns out, according to the teacher, that thomas Is really talented. We knew that but neat to hear.

All three are really talented. We can't get john to let his voice out. Ever. So it was so good to hear him sing and hear him sound good. John has committed to work with little john every day to help him over come his fear of letting his voice out.   He wants to try out for madrigals.
Emily was on the program but didn't sing because she decided she didn't want to get ready quick. She could have done it. But she's missed the last few lessons so it's okay I guess. Next time.
John sang "Any Dream Will Do". Thomas sang "I just can't wait to be king".
I'm a lucky woman to be mom to these kids. Now if only I could get that reciprocated. That they are lucky to have me as a mom. Sigh. Always working. Usually coming up short. Always working.

Cute cute boys. I LOVE THEM!!!

Jack shines

Jack has earned his Arrow of Light.

Sure proud of this cute kid. And love him like crazy.  Jacks a good kid who wants to choose the right.
He earned it the same night as his good friend carter. And bishop Pitt shared some nice thoughts. He's a good man.
Jacks cub master made really awesome arrows on plaques. He's a good guy too.
Cute kids. Jacks awesome. So glad he's mine.

Little girls, little girls

Everywhere I turn, I can see them.

Little girls, little girls
Well hello mark. John visited mark at work one day.
Every day I eat, sleep, and breathe them. (She wanted to sleep in johns bed one night. She waited a long time for him to come down and ended up falling asleep in his closet before he made it down.
Little cheeks, little teeth. (Sigh. What our late nights look like often while we drive two little girls around to fall asleep).
Jack and I need to figure out our daily anger issues.
Everything around me is little.
(Ouch. Hello gross pantry. Ruby found you. But my mom came over and did a quick clean up of it. It's much better now. For now. Thanks mom).
Big boys. Playing ball?
And doing what they do best. Whatever that is.
Lucky me, lucky me
Look at what I'm dripping with
LITTLE GIRLS!!!

I miss blogging

I love to journal. I always have enjoyed journaling and it's taken a back seat to everything. Blogging is especially nice because I can add pictures and share thoughts.  I used to share a lot more thoughts and quotes and things that meant something to me. I don't know what happened but it i who's changed to sharing pictures and captions.
I'm hoping to squeeze in a little more blogging. So to Get started........
This is happening right now. Leah chopped pretzels and scooped ice cream and mixed it together because she wanted to make something. Then she turned it over to Ruby.
Ruby took 81 pictures this morning. The following two are what they look like.
And this is happening as I type this. Everyone just got home from school and are enjoying the wii. Jack is at basketball practice. That wall behind the boys is in the process of becoming a fireplace and getting a new coat of paint.
And Ruby is still going strong. What
A treat for her. Time for a bath. Until next time.....
