RubySue - 9 months

Life

Someone posted this on facebook. I like it.

Ruby has had an awful cold for about two weeks. Neither John or I have had much sleep and it's been rough. I finally took her in and it had turned into nasty ear infections.

I was at a meeting one night and john sent me this pics on text and snapchat. I had put her to bed before I left. It didn't last long I guess.
My mom is so cute. She made salsa with her sister than packages them up with towels and homemade dishrags. This is te one she gave me.
I should have had two and a half hours of quiet and cleaning with Leah at preschool and Ruby had just gone to bed. Instead I got a phone all that this kids car was dead so I woke Ruby right back up and headed to the school. We say there for about 45 minutes letting his battery charge before it finally started.
This is "Set your Course" for the 11 year old scouts in the stake. I was invited to go since I'm the primary president. It's an awesome evening or these boys with thei scout leaders, bishops, stake presidency an primary president. Thy did three merit badge activities then went inside for a short program. About 30 16-17 year old men walked in singing called to serve. They stood in the isles then walked up front and sang the second verse and left. Little John and boys from our ward got to be a part of it. I wish I had taken a picture but we were in the chapel so I didn't dare.the boys then signed something IF they agreed to follow the course. Which is toget their eagle. Get their duty to God.  Graduate from seminary. Go on a mission. Our stake has been doing this for a lot of years and here are pictures and the signatures frames and hanging in the stake center. Pretty cool tradtition. Their sophomore year, they have another meetin with parents called "stay the course". They talk a lot about pornography and other issues kids face at that age.

Thomas helped teAch about ropes.
These three. I was lucky to be their 8 year old scout leader. Then their primary teacher when they were 10 and got to be at this meetin with them. I feel lucky.
I'm hard on myself. I rArely feel like I do a good enough job on anything I do. One day at church a couple months ago, drew, the kid in te middle came up to me and said, "can you be my scout leader again?  You were the best scout leader!" Oh man. I was so grateful. I thanked him and told him how nice it was to tell me that. It really was. I love these boys. Noah, Drew, McKay.

Silver Lake-First Day of Fall 2014

I LOVE fall. By far my most favorite season. I love my family too. (I took one selfie to prove I was here but I had to delete it. I was here. Just behind the camera).

We've had some friends tell us how wonderful silver lake is then some of johns family went this last week so we were finally inspired enough to get there. It was gorgeous and it rained the whole time. We were dodging puddles along the entire trail. Most of us anyway.
It was gorgeous and a great activity for the first day of fall. We took a picnic lunch but it was raining so hard, we pulled over by a river and picnicked in the car.

Life

Jack giving the family home evening lesson. I wasn't sure how jack would feel about Sam climbing up on the bench and lookin over his shoulder. Usually it wouldn't go well but jack seems to be doing better at loving Sam. I'm grateful. We've been getting our 72 hour kits put together so jacks lesson was on being prepared.

Cute little girls.
Leah's pictures at the bus parking lot.
It was fun to be there when all te busses were coming back from taking kids to school.
Best buttermilk syrup. Favorite meal: French toast made with Texas toast and buttermilk syrup.  Yum.
Beautiful Leah.

Oliver and Ruby. 6 months. 9 months.
Heidi and I haven't seen each other in months and we met up for lunh today. It was so nice to catch up. Well have to do it again in a few more months.
John is at meetings at aspen grove. He said it's beautiful and I'm sure he's having a wonderful time. Eating good food, playing pool and ping pong, hearing elder Groberg and many others speak, and relaxing. How would it be?!  Ha!
The sky at 7:00 tonight in Farmington.
I picked up Thomas from lacrosse practice and took him straight to YM soccer. As I pulled away, he made the first goal for their team. John was on his team. I love my boys.

Cute baby

18 years.

We celebrated 18 years of marriage!  HALF of my life has been spent with this man. Playing house has been crazy and fun. 7 kids. A home. 3 current vehicles. Our own raspberry bushes. And so much more. We are often in disbelief at life and what it has entailed in so short a time. And we are looking forward to many more years to come. Were just getting started

We checked three kids out of school and went to the cabin for a couple of hours to ride four wheelers and bask in the beauty from the deck at the cabin. It was perfect. After the kids were home and settled, john and I went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was wonderful.
John and emily were happy to not come with us and have a few hours without everyone around after school.
We will desperately miss this place if and when it sells.

There's a moose relaxing in the shade by this cabin.

A short time fishing and throwing rocks in the river.

Happy 18 years mister. My life has been blessed by this man. He has always treated me like a queen. He loves me unconditionally and lives his life in service of me and our children.
I love him.
We are tired all the time. Usually exhausted all the time. We are trying. It's hard. But we are learning and growing together.
Cute kids. It's so fun to be the one to open and close the gate.
