Free Day at Tracy Aviary

The day after John got home from his trip, we went to Tracy Aviary and played at Liberty Park. Then we got donuts from Banberry Cross. Yummy!! It was a nice day with the fam.
We made it just in time to watch the pelicans be fed.

Come on everybody, it's family night!!!

Every week during family night, we get to sing at least 4 songs...sometimes 8 or more so each kid gets at least one or two turns to "point". Favorite family activity....."pointing". One kid will pick the song we sing then points at who should be singing. If both arms are raised in the air, everybody sings!! FUN!!! :) Obviously during the first picture, it was Jack's turn to point.
This night we were being "phantoms" Lil John delivered the treat and everyone else is hiding. I had to get a picture because they were so excited, they looked so cute, and we were having fun!! Happy Halloween!!!!! With love, from your friendly, neighborhood Phantom.

"Look, It's ____________"

We drive past this every day on the way to school. My kids call it "_____________". Because LOOK!! It looks just like "_____________".
FIRST PERSON TO GUESS WHAT THEY CALL IT, WINS A PRIZE!!! Good luck!!

John R. and Lisa visit Hong Kong

John didn't have his camera on this trip so I stole a couple pics from Lisa. Thank you Lisa. I wish I could steal them all. They are so great!! Lisa is John's sister. WE WERE SO EXCITED WHEN JOHN R. AND LISA DECIDED TO VISIT HONG KONG!! I loved knowing they were there with John and he LOVED having them with him. Thank you so much for going. Hopefully you understand a little now why John loves it so much. I wish I had gotten my passport and could have been there with you. The second picture is John talking to the lady in Chinese. He is always very animated when he speaks chinese. But he has been told over and over that he sounds like a real Chinaman!!! I am so glad you three could have this trip together!!

Welcome Home Dad!!!

Waiting. "Why are we here?" "What are we doing?"

John surprised me from the Hong Kong airport just before getting on the plane and told me he would be home a day early. (It is about a 24 trip home so he was coming home a full day early). I didn't tell the kids. They had the day off school and I told them we were going for a ride. We got to the airport and they started questioning why we were there. I told them I thought it would be fun to practice for when Dad came home....or to look at the airplanes...or to hang out at the airport for a while. They would ask if Dad was coming home and I'd say "maybe". It wasn't until we were in the airport at the carrousel that they finally realized he really was coming home. It was so exciting. They couldn't wait to see him. When Sam saw him come down the escalator, he ran up to him and wouldn't let go. It was so cute. It was a fun surprise. Let me tell you, after two weeks, a full day early is AWESOME!!! We love you Dad and we are so glad when you are home! And we all love to see the surprises that come out of your bag.

Thanks

John went to India, Singapore, and Hong Kong for two weeks. While he was gone, I received a package from OC Tanner. Can I tell you how much this made my day? It was wonderful!!!! A package showed up and Jack and I got so excited. thanks.com is part of OC Tanner. Check it out!! The pictures will tell the story. Thank you so much Mary and Nacole. Your thoughtfulness really meant so much to me!!!

School Fun

Too bad these pictures came out blurry. Emily was in a reader's theatre of "Legend of Sleepy Hollow". I went to watch and John's class was watching too. Sam was excited to see him. Emily did a great job. She had a main part...Martha.

Witchapalooza

I put this witch hat on Samuel and he took off. He loved it. I finally was able to get a decent picture of him. He was so cute and he screamed when I took it off.

While John was in Asia, I took the kids to Witchapalooza at Gardner Village with Jolie and her kids and my mom and even Laura left work to go with us! I've never been before and it was pretty neat. We had a great time and it was fun to see all the different witches. We ate lunch at the Naborhood Bakery. My mom sat at a tiny table with almost all of the kids and shared all her food with them. Thanks Mom!!! It sure has been fun having you around to hang out with us on Fridays. And it was great having all us girls together!!!
