Stuff

Johns pick of seat to do his math. Nice.

Ruby and her grinch blanket. My aunt won a TON of stuff in a contest on kutv. This miniy blanket was one and she sent it to Ruby!

John is officially a priest and blessed the sacrament in someone's home. Driving, working, growing up. And soon dating!!
Leslie sent me this. She was so happy to show Leslie this trick.
Mmmmm.  White chocolate macadamia cheesecake. They had to put on mounds of whip cream to make our measly little piece look bigger. But it was good.
John loves this baby.
Cute coat from great aunt sandy. So cute. And boots from aunt laura.

See the sleeping baby.

And see the crib behind her. She's not in it.  I guess we're going to have to work on that.

In the meantime, I'm getting more sleep and she's sleeping longer stretches.
Besides, who wouldn't want a precious baby laying beside them. Oh she's sweet.
I wake up often and if I don't see or hear her breathe, I panic a little and move her. So far she has moved back. Thank goodness.
We're better off with her than without. I'm thankful someone knows better than me. And in thankful that I trust that.

Eye progress

In the wrong direction. A little worse today.

Pick a corner

Always a first. Was successful this time. I need to remember and try again.

Again

This poor girl has another black eye. She jumped on Thomas from behind, Thomas  went backward somehow and his head slammed into her face.

This poor girl. Sam was part cause of her last black eye and its never completely gone away. Hopefully this one does.

Leah isms

My cute cousin Lindsey, reminded me just by what she blogs about that I should probably document this.  And it's not flattering but we still find ourselves secretly laughing often and then we correct.  ha.

Leah has a bad habit of saying "you're idiot" or "you're nerdface" to everyone.  That's what we get for having all these older kids.  And everyone laughs.  Argh.

And even worse.....when she toots, she says "I burped in my bum" and laughs and if she burps she says "I burped in my mouth".  And the girl can burp like you wouldn't believe.  Loud and long and it's ridiculous.

Help me!!!  This girl keeps us on our toes all the time.  She talks and talks and talks from the second she wakes up until the second she falls asleep.  And she doesn't ever fall asleep.  At least it feels that way.  She is always the last one awake even though we get her in bed early.  She can't stay still and has way too much to talk about.  She's demanding in her sweet way.  She has to have her water every night and when we lay by her she wants her water then wants us to put it back "on the table".  We can't hold it even though she'll be asking for it again.  It has to go on the table.
She use to tell us exactly how to say good night to her.  We had to repeat her and even say it in the same tone.  "good night.  I love you".
She will not take no for an answer.  She wears underwear all the time but doesn't care enough, too many times, to go to the toilet.  She LOVES video games like the boys.  Help me.  Emily doesn't and I had hoped Leah wouldn't either.

Even though she does all these things that drives us CRAZY, she is a beautiful little girl, she makes us laugh, and we LOVE her like crazy!

Birthday boy

Happy 16 kid.

The rest of the pictures will come when I hook up my camera.
This one was taken today, two days after his birthday because his present finally showed up.  At least it came in a festive gold package.  It's a Fitbit Zip. (It was new in box but purchased on eBay).
I sure love this boy of mine.

Happy one month

In celebration of being one month old yesterday, and in celebration of johns 16th birthday yesterday, Ruby wore her cupcake outfit.

She's so fun and cuddly to hold right now. I love it.

34

That is the number of movies I've watched since Ruby was born. One month and one day ago.

Ha!!
I never watch tv and I rarely watch movies.
That 34 includes a few watched with the family but doesn't include any we've rented from redbox and there has been some. Those 34 are watched on Netflix, by me. John has seen bits and pieces of a few. Other than that, its on my own.
It doesn't count the three I've started but haven't finished. And doesn't count the 4 or 5 episodes of Parenthood I've watched to catch up (because I like that show. But not so much right now with the marital problems. Ugh. It's bugging me). Also John and I are almost done with episode one of season 4 of Downton Abbey. AND....it doesn't include the cartoons or random shows I've sat down to watch parts of with kids.
It's been a random selection. Christian feel good movies. Black and white movies. Several Shirley MacLaine movies from when she was really young to when she was old. Comedies, dramas, and even documentaries.
I've been educated in the movie category and still going.
When I'm up in the night, it helps pass the time. When I'm feeding the baby in the day, I turn them on. And very few, if any, are watched in one sitting. I turn them on and off as the baby needs me.

Holy moly. What's gotten into me?!!
I'm enjoying it and I may as well because time is already flying with this little girl which means my movie watching will also come to an end all too soon. :)

How we roll

This is how we get places when the dad takes the family car.

On our way to Boondocks to celebrate little big johns 16th birthday. This is what he chose......to be with family. Love him.

Ruby and Richard

Richard Paul Evans spoke in my aunts stake last night so my mom and laura and I went. It was good and nice to get out and sit still and quiet. Ruby slept. Laura gave her this hat with some adorable boots. The outfit from my aunt sandy. The blanket made by my mom.

Richard Paul Evans
My boys LOVE Michael Vey. I didn't think to bring their books so I had him sign a paper to put in the book.
Ruby took a bink today. Yeah!!!  None of my kids have cared for them. I doubt her taking one means much. But she sure is cute.
