There Is Beauty All Around...

Thomas and Jack are great friends and play so good together. Today I heard them playing and I said to John "I love that they are such good friends." Not two seconds later we hear "YOU IDIOT!!!" Luckily that was it. They were quickly friends again. Anyway.......

I was afraid of this!!! I knew when spring came along it was going to be really hard to leave my house. I love to play in the garden. I love my yard. Every fall and every spring, I move plants around and love to watch them bloom. Guess I'll have to drive by and watch someone else raise my plants!!

It is BEAUTIFUL today!! The house is clean, music is playing, the kids are outside playing, John is cleaning the shed and I just made homemade macaroni and cheese. Mmmmm!! I'm thinking about packing and will be soon but I'd rather be walking around my flower beds, dreaming, pulling weeds. Next spring!! John just left with our first load to storage. The goal is to have one more truckload today. Thanks to Robert and Teresa who have offered their garage as our storage unit. When Robert offered, I told him we would pay and he said "no you won't. This is what family is for." Thank you!! (We'll sneek something in there anyway. We are very grateful.)
I'm feeling very sentimental today. When we first moved in to this house, 5 years ago, I walked around and filmed the house. I did that again today, pointing out the things we have done. WOW. We have really made this our home. It started as a 3 bedroom and we are leaving it as a 5 bedroom. The things we have done to make it our own and the memories we have made, make this home priceless. The new owners are getting a great deal!!! We have prayed from day one that Heavenly Father would send the right people to our house and know it was theirs. Through the discouragement as we have waited for it to sale, this is what has given us the patience to continue waiting....knowing Heavenly Father is in charge and will send good people. We haven't met them yet but I have faith that they will love it here and the neighbors will love them. We didn't want to leave our house for just anyone. It means too much to us.

Guess I'd better get back to work!!!

Book Reviews and Stuff

I'm obsessed!! I can't stop reading. I guess it is taking me away from my reality. Taking away my stress.
I just finished Princess Academy. I had no idea Shannon Hale is from and lives in Utah. Cool. I LOVED IT!!!! I can't wait to read all her other books.
Before Princess Academy, my mom had me read Recovering Charles. It was a great book about a man's life and his father, Charlie. It is based around Hurricane Katrina. It was wonderful.
Now....Meeting Amazing Grace. Gary and Joy Lundberg stopped me at Costco. Did they stop you too? Joy told me all about her book and I figured I need to stay stocked with good books so I bought it. But hey!!! At least I have my own autographed copy...TO ME!! I'll be starting it tonight.
I guess that's about it. I've been trying to download pictures from my camera but it won't connect for some reason and my husband is off playing basketball so he can't figure it out for me yet. I guess another day!
Tomorrow is Jack's birthday. 5 years old. CRAZY!!!
Tonight I went to the Relief Society Birthday Dinner. A young woman from our ward, Olivia Rydalch, put the entire thing together and the young women presented. It was based on RS Celebration. We were on a cruise and the young women were our entertainment. Jordan Williams and Olivia were new young women when I was in young womens and now they are the big laurels (out of all 6 young women in our ward). Jordan sang two songs, Olivia danced and played the piano, and the other young women shared their cute talents. I love all those cute girls and I'm even going to miss them....Olivia, Jordan, Bree Evertsen, Lida Beckstrom, Marylee Thaxton, and last but definetly not least, Natalie McMillan. I'm so going to miss that girl. She pops in often, she babysits, she adores my kids and my dog, and has always been very helpful to me. I adore her and I love having her around and will miss being so close. Anyway, it was a nice evening. I called Maria to make sure we got there at the same time so I could sit with her. I was sad that this was my last enrichment. I love the amazing people in this ward. I love this ward. I love my neighbors. I am sad to leave but it still just feels so right.
Today, Jack, Sam, and I met Kathy and her son Cody and Denise and her boys, Hunter and Wyatt at Carl's Jr. We sat and visited for 2 hours and it was wonderful. It is so fun to reconnect so often after so many years apart and we decided it must have been because we were all so busy with brand new babies that it made it hard to get together. But now that we are all nearing the end of offspring, it has been wonderful to make time for each other again. Sandra was going to come but ended up helping her sister at the last minute so we missed her and her two youngest. No worries!! Right?!!! Because we'll see each other again soon?!!!! Thanks girls!!
